Delete Your Audeus Account

If you want to close your Audeus account, you can submit a deletion request directly from your settings. This will permanently delete your account, your personal details, and your reading library.

Once requested, your account and files are scheduled for deletion. This process can take up to a few days, but your account may be deleted at any time. You can cancel the request at any time before the deletion is complete.

Cancel Active Subscription Renewals before Account Deletion

Before requesting account deletion, make sure to cancel any active automatic subscription renewals to avoid further billing:

• Web Subscriptions: Cancel your billing renewal by visiting your Billing Settings or following the steps in our guide on Canceling Your Audeus Subscription.
• Apple App Store and Google Play Subscriptions: If you subscribed through an Apple App Store in-app purchase or Google Play Store subscription, you must cancel the renewal in your Apple or Google account settings before submitting your deletion request. Audeus cannot automatically cancel Apple or Google Play billing renewals for you.

Delete Your Audeus Account on the Web Reader

To schedule your account for deletion on the web, go to your Settings page and locate the Delete Account option. Clicking this option will open a confirmation screen where you can confirm your choice.

After submitting, your account enters a pending deletion state. You can click Cancel Request at any time before the deletion completes if you want to restore your account.

Delete Your Audeus Account on the Mobile App

To schedule your account for deletion in the mobile app, navigate to the settings menu and open the Security section. Select Delete Account and confirm the deletion prompt.

Once scheduled, you will see a Cancel Account Deletion option in your settings. Tapping this option before the deletion is complete will cancel the deletion request and restore your account.

We treat your personal information and library files with care. When you request to delete your account, Audeus immediately begins a complete purge of your email address, preferences, and documents from our database. This automated process satisfies GDPR and other global data protection regulations, ensuring your private data is permanently erased.

FAQ about Deleting Your Audeus Account

Will deleting my account automatically cancel my subscription? Only for web-based subscriptions. If you subscribed through an Apple App Store in-app purchase or Google Play Store subscription, deleting your Audeus account will not cancel your subscription renewal. Can I recover my documents and highlights after my account is deleted? No. Once the deletion process is complete, all documents, library folders, and saved highlights are permanently erased.
