Update Payment Method
If your credit card has expired, you have received a new card, or you simply want to switch your payment method, you can securely update your billing information directly from your Audeus settings.
How to Update Your Payment Details (Web)
For users who subscribed directly on our website, billing is handled securely via our payment processor:
- Log into your account on the Web Reader.
- Click your profile icon in the navigation bar and select Settings, or navigate directly to Billing Settings.
- Click the Manage Subscription button in the billing details panel. If your payment is currently past due, this button may read Update Payment Method.
- In the billing portal, click Add payment method.
- Enter your new credit card details, save them, and designate the card as your default payment method.
- Once the new card is set as the default, you can safely remove your old payment details.
How to Update Your Payment Details (Mobile)
Because Apple and Google process mobile in-app transactions directly, Audeus support cannot access or update mobile payment records. You must update your billing details on your device:
For iOS Users (Apple App Store)
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap your Apple ID profile name at the top of the screen.
- Select Payment and Shipping (you may be asked to authenticate with Face ID or your passcode).
- Tap Add Payment Method to enter a new card, or tap an existing card to modify the expiration date and billing details.
For Android Users (Google Play Store)
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner.
- Select Payments and subscriptions, then tap Payment methods.
- Select Add a payment method to link a new card, or choose More payment settings to edit your existing cards.
Resolving Failed Subscription Payments
If your subscription renewal fails, your Audeus Pro status will show a payment failed status. To keep your account active and prevent an automatic downgrade to the Free plan, update your billing details using the appropriate steps above. Once a valid payment method is configured, the system will process the outstanding charge and restore your full Pro privileges.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I store multiple payment methods on my account? Yes. In the billing portal, you can link multiple credit cards. You can designate one card as your default method for renewals and delete secondary cards at any time.
Does updating my card affect my reading history or saved documents? No. Modifying your billing details only affects how your subscription renewal is processed. Your document library, reading progress, voice preferences, and notes remain completely untouched.
How can I update my billing address or tax details? You can update your billing address and tax information directly inside the customer billing portal. Go to your Billing Settings, click Manage Subscription, and select the billing address edit option.
Why can I not update my card details on the web for my mobile subscription? If you signed up through the iOS App Store or Google Play Store, Audeus does not handle your payment information directly. You must update your billing method inside your Apple ID or Google Play Store account settings to keep your mobile plan active.
